High speed train from Paris ( Gare Du Nord ) to Brussells…

Posted 19 May 2012

The sadness sinks in as I check out of my Montmartre guest house and walk to Gare Du Nord train station after an awesome 3 days in beautiful Paris…
On the flip side, BELGIUM, HERE I COME!!! haha

At first glance, the European railway network seems quite confusing! So many different rail companies, so many different destinations and some platforms with very little english. However if you relax, take a deep breathe and head to the information booth, you will be absolutely fine. Everytime I enter a European rail station, I can’t help but feel that I’m in an airport.. Bars and eateries aplenty, everyone in each corner is speaking a different language… It’s just great to grab a beer, chill out and simply soak up the atmosphere.

As I mentioned in a prior post on Montmartre, the gypsies are everywhere around here! When a friendly ‘ random ‘ approaches, be sure to secure your wallet and valuables… No matter how friendly they are!
The trip will take around 90 minutes on the high speed train, I booked my ticket online for 30 Euros however, if you book on the day at the station it’s around 22 Euros ;) .

Next Up… Brussells!!!!!!!!!

Cheers
